“Autarkie, ein tolles Wort”

Seid ihr autark?, werden wir sehr oft gefragt.
Wir Vier sind das auf jeden Fall, und machen seit dem Ausbruch der alles andere aus der Berichterstattung verdrängenden Thematik einfach unser
eigenes Ding.
Aber darum geht es nicht.
Unsere Wohnung steht auf einem Allrad-Lkw und von Zeit zu Zeit bewegt sie sich.
Unser Autarkiefaktor wird jedoch nicht durch die Wattstunden unserer Solar-Anlage, der Größe unserer Batteriekapazität - ob neue oder
herkömmliche Technik bestimmt, oder gar durch unsere 400 ltr. Trinkwasserreserve bestimmt, sondern ist im Wesentlichen durch den an Bord gebunkerten Lebensmittelvorrat und vor
allem dem Wetter bestimmt.
Scheint nämlich die Sonne, und jetzt spreche ich nicht über Ertragsdiagramme, die ich mir per Bluetooth-Schnittstelle in die Hosen-Tasche
übertragen lasse sondern davon, dass dann die Kinder - wir sind mit zwei Kleintöchtern im Auto - dann vor der Tür spielen.
Echte Autarkie ist für uns entspannte Nerven zu haben, um sich auf das Reisen einlassen zu können.
Nicht genervt zu sein, dass wir genug Wasser haben, dass der Strom reicht, wir etwas zu essen haben, aber eben auch, dass die Kinder Raum haben
zu spielen. Zu viert auf 12qm wird es an regnerischen Tagen auch mal eng und dann ist’s vorbei mit Autarkie.
Unsere Wasservorräte halten gute zwei Wochen und auch wir waschen uns gelegentlich 
Die Batterien (herkömmlich) verfügen über 210Ah bei 24 Volt und versorgen uns mit den täglich benötigten 50Ah.
Die Solaranlage aus 2013 verfügt naturgemäß nicht über die Kapazitäten einer Anlage aus 2020, bedenkt man, dass heutige Paneele gleicher Größe
fast das Doppelte an Ertrag er-wirtschaften bei halbem Anschaffungspreis.
Aber, es kommen 400Watt im Besten Fall und das reicht aus, die Batterien während der ersten beiden Sonnenstunden wieder aufzuladen. Danach
werden dann all unsere elektronischen Spielzeuge aufgeladen. Während wir die Kaffeemaschine und die -Mühle tagsüber direkt mit Sonneneinstrahlung nutzen, sind die nächtlichen
Verbraucher unser Kompressorkühlschrank und das Gebläse der Gas-heizung. Mit Licht sparen wir nachts aufgrund der schlafenden Kinder; es würde wegen verbauter LED’s jedoch
kaum ins Gewicht fallen.
Das funktioniert natürlich nur, wenn man sich neben Strom noch einer anderen Energiequelle, in unserem Fall Gas bedient. Nichtmal mit Tank
sondern mit drei 11ltr. Flaschen ausgestattet, sind wir 4 Monate bekocht und beheizt. Mit einem Tank im Chassis könnten wir uns für ein ganzes Jahr bevor-raten und die
gelegentliche Suche nach Auffüllstation und Co. wäre etwas leichter, weil seltener.
Mit Strom Kochen oder gar Heizen kommt für uns aus Effizienzgründen nicht in Betracht und liebe ich es dazu noch mit Gas zu kochen. Wozu soll
ich mir das komplette Dach mit Solar zupflastern, auf die Möglichkeit der grossen Dachluke verzichten, mich mit einer großen Batterie-bank belasten, die ich stets überwachen
muss, wenn es durchaus auch einfacher geht, zumal ich der Typ bin, der lieber aus dem Fenster schaut als das BMS über Ladezustände ausfragt. Aber ich respektiere Leute, die
das anders sehen
So funktioniert das nun bereits im siebten Jahr und seit Mai 2020 ganzjährig im Lkw-Mobil als Familie.
Viel braucht es also nicht und die benötigten Komponenten müssen auch nicht immer high-end sein.
In unserem Fall waren sie es einmal, aber die Uhr dreht sich weiter und ein Setup, wie wir es Vollzeit nutzen und leben würde heute so nicht
mehr verbaut werden.
Warum ich das schreibe?
Es ist für uns nicht nötig, aktuellsten Schnickschnack verbaut zu haben. Wir benötigen nicht mal viel.
In Abhängigkeit individuell unterschiedlicher Komfort-ansprüche ist dies bei jedem unterschiedlich.
Wer seine Ansprüche kennt und sich somit Verbräuche ausrechnen kann, ist hier schnell zufrieden und mit seiner persönlichen Freiheit
ausgerüstet.
Dann kann ein jeder seine persönliche Autarkie genießen und sich mit einem funktionieren Mobil dem Reisen widmen.
Eigentlich braucht es dann auch keinerlei Anzeigen und Computer mehr, da das Setup funktioniert.
Beeindruckt hat mich hier Pedro, der mit einem Reste-mobil unterwegs ist. Er hat sich sein Fahrzeug mit unmodern gewordenen und daher gegen neue
und bessere Komponenten ausgetauschten Anlagen zusammengebaut. Nicht jeder verkauft seine Altteile im Internet, sondern erfreut sich an ihm als Entsorger.
Er reist seither seinem persönlichen Autarkiefaktor gemäß um die Welt und genießt das Leben. Das ist eine weitere sehr oft gehörte Frage, wie
und warum solch Langzeit-Herumreisen eigentlich finanziell funktioniert .

"Self-sufficiency, a great word"
Are you self-sufficient? we are often asked.
The four of us definitely are, and since the outbreak of the issue displacing everything else from the news coverage, we simply do our own
thing.
But that's not the point.
Our home is on a four-wheel drive truck and from time to time it moves.
Our self-sufficiency factor, however, is not determined by the watt-hours of our solar system, the size of our battery capacity - whether new or
conventional technology, or even by our 400-litre drinking water reserve, but is essentially determined by the food supply stashed on board and, above all, the
weather.
If the sun is shining, and now I'm not talking about yield diagrams that I have transmitted to my trouser pocket via Bluetooth interface, but
about the fact that the children - we have two little daughters in the car - then play in front of the door.
For us, true self-sufficiency means having relaxed nerves so that we can get involved in travelling.
Not being stressed that we have enough water, that the electricity is sufficient, that we have something to eat, but also that the children have
space to play. On rainy days, four people in 12 square metres can be cramped, and then it's over with self-sufficiency.

electronic toys are charged. While we use the coffee machine and the grinder directly with sunlight during the day, the nightly consumers are our compressor fridge and the fan
of the gas heating. We save on light at night because of the sleeping children; however, it would hardly make a difference because of installed LEDs.
Of course, this only works if you use another energy source besides electricity, in our case gas. Not even equipped with a tank but with three
11ltr. bottles, we are cooked and heated for 4 months. With a tank in the chassis, we could stock up for a whole year and the occasional search for refilling stations and the
like would be somewhat easier, because less frequent.
Cooking with electricity or even heating is out of the question for us for reasons of efficiency, and I also love cooking with gas. Why should I
plaster the entire roof with solar panels, forego the possibility of a large skylight, burden myself with a large battery bank that I have to constantly monitor, when it could
be simpler, especially since I'm the type who prefers to look out of the window rather than ask the BMS about the charging status. But I respect people who see it differently
This is how it works now for the seventh year and since May 2020 all year round in the truck-mobile as a family.
So it doesn't take much and the components needed don't always have to be high-end either.
In our case they once were, but the clock keeps turning and a setup like the one we use and live in full time would not be installed like this
today.
Why am I writing this?
It is not necessary for us to have the latest bells and whistles installed. We don't even need much.
Depending on individual comfort requirements, this is different for everyone.
If you know your needs and can therefore calculate consumption, you will quickly be satisfied and equipped with your personal freedom.
Then everyone can enjoy their personal self-sufficiency and dedicate themselves to travelling with a functioning mobile.
Actually, there is no need for displays and computers any more, because the setup works.
I was impressed by Pedro, who is travelling with a leftover mobile. He assembled his vehicle with equipment that had become outdated and was
therefore replaced with new and better components. Not everyone sells their old parts on the internet, but enjoys him as a disposer.
Since then, he travels the world according to his personal self-sufficiency factor and enjoys life. That is another very often heard question,
how and why such long-term travelling around actually works financially .
