Fernreisemobil nahe der Heimat in Köln am Rhein - "Ene Besuch em Zoo"
“Ene Besuch em Zoo,
Oh, oh, oh, ohhhh”!
(*english pls scroll down*)

"A visit to the zoo,
Oh, oh, oh, ohhh!”
Since we're already in Kölle, there's no reason why we shouldn't stay here for a while. So we pull out of Nina & Lars' driveway and choose the city centre and the cathedral as our next destination.
I still have a tendency to drive the truck right into the middle of the hustle and bustle. This bad habit has given us many beautiful and unforgettable moments, whether in Morocco or on the American continent. But we don't want to overtax Cologne's law enforcers today. So we choose the banks of the Rhine in Cologne as our place to be. After the Cologne campsite didn't want us, because although we have a 5-G router in our mobile, we don't belong to the select citizen group 3G.
All in all, the possibilities for toilet disposal in the city of Cologne are rather suboptimal. And when the operator of the parking lot puts a chain or a combination lock on the disposal station and wants it to be reserved exclusively for his parking lot guests. This is incomprehensible and, in my opinion, stupid, especially as it deprives him of the profit from the pillar. But well, that's just a side note.
And so we stand, admittedly somewhat illegally, directly on the banks of the river. Within walking distance is the Cologne attraction, Cologne Zoo.
Last time I was there as a child with my uncle from Cologne, now it's my own children who walk happily through the zoo in amazement. The low crowds allow us as a fringe group (not recovered, tested or vaccinated) but healthy to enjoy this wonderful day at the zoo. The undisputed highlight is still not the animals, but the wonderful playground for the children.
It's not the lion, tiger or elephant that impresses our children but the petting zoo right outside the exit with goats and cows.
In the merchandising shop, Clara wishes for a meerkat, which makes me happy again. So the not exactly family-friendly price of our day's activity was still worth it. Otherwise, we could have gone to the farm 😉 .
Back at the car, we think about why we should actually go back to Bonn the next day?
It's beautiful here on the banks of the Rhine. The boats chug past us, the barrel-launched ship waves as it passes in the morning and it never gets boring.
So we decide to pay a visit to the cathedral at the next opportunity.
But more about that later.
Anyone who would like to accompany us on our journey is cordially invited to join us on Facebook or Instagram under "tokapaca".
We are looking forward to it and say welcome.
See you soon
